Yes, there are, but they are few : some diseases by external parasites (such as scabies and Cheyletiellosis) or fungi (Dermatophytosis).

Other contagious skin diseases for humans are very rare or not present in Italy.

Remember that the leishmaniasis affects humans but always and only through the bite of sand flies and not with direct contact with the dog.
